Steven Vail
Steve Vail is a Northern California real estate broker and financial lender/broker with more than forty years of industry experience. He obtained his real estate license in 1976 and currently holds California DRE license #00619431 and NMLS license #256839.
Throughout his career, Steve has worked across residential and commercial real estate, handling situations that extend far beyond ordinary property transactions. His experience includes purchasing a commercial property, selling a large restaurant in Santa Rosa, constructing a single-family home in 2024, and working toward the sale of a gold mine.
His decades in the field have given him practical knowledge of buying, selling, financing, foreclosures, loan modifications, property disclosures, title matters, insurance, and negotiations. Steve also understands how changing laws, market conditions, and unexpected complications can affect buyers, sellers, and homeowners.

About Steve Vail
Experienced Real Estate Broker, Lender &
Financial Professional
Steven B. Vail is a seasoned real estate and lending
professional with decades of experience spanning
commercial real estate, mortgage lending, banking,
property management, and real estate investment.
Since 1992, Steve has served as
Broker/Owner of Vail and Associates Realtors,
where he has worked with clients throughout Sonoma County
in the sale, leasing, and management of real estate.
His experience includes structuring short sales from
initial offers through closing, as well as working with
commercial properties, land, and vineyard properties.
Steve has also built extensive experience in lending and
finance. As a Senior Loan Agent, he has
arranged private-money financing for the purchase and
refinancing of land and commercial and vineyard properties,
while also working with conventional lending instruments
involving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
His professional background also includes leadership
positions with First Priority Financial,
Investors Trust Mortgage, and Enterprise Mortgage,
as well as earlier experience in banking with
Bank of Santa Clara, Redwood Bank, and Bank of America.
During his banking career, Steve analyzed credit for loan
requests and served in branch management.
